The Amara Campbell Foundation

 The Amara Campbell Foundation

Read about our friend Amara and her journey with Tertiary Lyme Infection. Her every minute of every day is a struggle. Her life has been devastated by this infection with borrelia particularly in Australia as this infection is not recognised.

Photo: Welcome to The Amara Campbell Foundation we; Marnie (Amara's sister), Mary, Judith and Reece will be holding lots of events over the next few months to assist Amara with her ongoing battle with late-stage neurological Lyme Disease and all the complex and intermingled co-infections and co-conditions.

Amara is currently getting treatment through a PICC (peripherally inserted central catheter) which delivers high strength antibiotics directly through her vein and to her heart and brain where most of her infections lie.

This treatment would not be required if testing in Australia was more effective. Amara has what is known as Tertiary Lyme Disease or Late Stage Neurological Lyme Disease. It doesn't need to get to this point if caught early.

So please use this page not only to support Amara, but to learn about Lyme Disease, one of the fastest growing infectious diseases in the world. Share the page, share the posts and hopefully prevent your loved ones, your friends and especially your children from ever having to experience what Amara has.

Thanks for your support!
